Two routes will be available during this years walk. A
1-mile family fun walk around Olin Park or a 3-mile walk
along Capitol City Trail to Law Park and back to Olin Park

Brat Fest activities include several music stages, a

activities. All proceeds from the event benefit the many
local organizations that staff the food tents. Food
available for purchase includes brats, hot dogs, vegan
options, sweet corn & more.

The Kids Spring Race kicks off the Twilight 5K & 10K
events, and is for participants ages 3 to 12 years old. This

Memorial Day Parade

Join us to honor our Veterans in Monona on Memorial
Day. The Parade starts at 4400 Monona Drive (near
Monona Grove High School) and runs south on the west
side of the drive to Owen Road. Veterans lead the
parade followed by community groups, businesses, and
entertainment acts!

Library Activities
  • THROUGHOUT WEEK | YEAR-ROUND
    Be sure to check out the many wonderful, free,
    kid-friendly events throughout the season at
    your local library. Activities often include
    recurring story times, plus other scheduled
    crafts, movies & special events. Nearly every
    library offers something unique in the
    designated children's area, so just hanging out
    looking at books or discovering something new
    can be a fun, yet peaceful way to spend a cold

Open Play or "Open Gym"
  • DAILY OPTIONS | YEAR-ROUND
    Nearly a dozen places in & around Madison offer
    their facilities for 1-2 hours, or even all day for
    regular "open gym"  times throughout the week.
    Admission charges vary by venue, often
    dependent on age, from $4 to $8 and provide
    equipment to play, slide, jump; but most
    importantly a kid-friendly, safe environment for
    activity and social interaction (for mom or dad,
