American Family Children's Hospital
A comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center featuring
Cancer, including faculty from the University of Wisconsin School
of Medicine and Public Health's Department of Pediatrics. The
state-of-the-art facility was opened in 2007, located on the campus
of UW Hospital & Clinics.
American Red Cross Badger Chapter
Offers first aid and CPR classes, and youth training in Babysitting

Community Action Coalition for South Central WI
CAC serves needs for individuals living in poverty (housing,
budgeting, clothing, food recovery and other referrals.)
Community Coordinated Child Care (4-C)
4-C is a resource and child care referral program, which also
offers training and certification programs.
Dane County Child Support Agency
The Dane County Child Support Agency is responsible for working
with families to establish and enforce support orders for children.

DCPC offers Head Start programs for early childhood, as well as

A group offering support to those affected by cancer, including their

Kohl's Safety Center
Shop for products, receive educational materials and ask trained
staff questions about child safety. Located at the American Family
Offers a variety of child and family classes, including CPR; also a
nurse-facilitated Mother Baby Hour and resource library within the

Parent Stressline & Canopy Center Healing & Family Support
Canopy Center, started by a young mother in 1977, is a child
abuse treatment and prevention agency offering support and
programs for parents and children. Parent Stressline is an
anonymous way for parents to reach out for guidance and support.

American Assn of Poison Control Centers
Get educated on hazards within your home, or consult with the
hotline to find out if your or your child has come in contact with a
hazard, or ingested a poisonous chemical and learn proper steps
to get first aid and/or further medical attention.
Respite Center/Center for Families
Respite Center offers crisis childcare and parent support, caring
for children birth through 14 when their families are experiencing
tough times. They aim to prevent child abuse by providing a safe
nurturing environment for children while helping parents build
upon their strengths. Besides child care, they offer parents crisis
intervention, short-term counseling, advocacy and referrals.

Ronald McDonald House
Provides a home away from home for families (whose children 18
& under) are undergoing treatment at Madison area health care
facilities. The house allows families to stay together during an
often very difficult time.
St Mary's Hospital
St Mary's offers childbirth classes, infant & adult CPR classes,
support groups and more.
UW Health & Clinics

Provides resources and referrals to agencies and services need
for a variety of family, health & financial concerns.
Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry
Family Watch Dog (www.familywatchdog.us) is a national
database to search for registered sex offenders by location or by
name. Search results provide maps, with detailed information for
each offender including a photo, name, age, address, conviction &
year. The website also provides a lot of information, statistics,
safety tips and other education.
